Our company are able to offer professional tree surgery for any tree removal scenario. There are many reasons to have a tree removed for example allowing more light to your property. Our tree removal service is available to all of Ashford and to its neighbouring towns and villages. We are very proud of the tree removal service that we provide.
The tree surgeons and arborists that we employ have extensive experience in the removal of trees and the various techniques involved. We have all of the appropriate equipment for all types of tree removal and tree dismantling. There is no size of tree that cannot be felled by our team and we are able to remove tree’s in any location. We have felled all types of tree’s in many shapes and sizes and our tree surgeons are able to navigate in the smallest of spaces with almost no disruption to you and your property.
Our customers are most important to us and that’s why we ensure that all of our tree surgeons are friendly and will not leave the job until you are entirely satisfied with the work that has been carried out. Take a look at some of the processes that we use in tree removal (known as tree felling in the tree surgery world).
Tree Removal Costs
If you are looking for tree removal costs and tree removal prices are available upon request. Due to the varying nature of our work we are only able to provide rough estimates over the phone. To allow for accurate costs of tree removal we would be required to come and take a site survey of the work that you propose.
Prior to any work taking place we must evaluate the technique used to remove your problem tree. There are two types of removal/felling that we use and these are dictated by the environment surrounding your property.
Tree Removal – Section Felling
We use section felling when the removal of trees is not possible in one movement. Straight felling is used where risk of damage to any property is possible (and harm to the public too). Section felling will remove the entire tree but dismantling the tree in sections. We ensure that if the stump cannot be removed on the day of work, it will be left at a height where it does not pose as a tripping hazard.
As tree surgeons we would dismantle the tree using a step cut, we would then break off and use a controlled throw method to lower the tree sections to the ground. Lowering ropes are used to reduce any safety risks as much as possible.
This tree removal method requires a high level of skill and experience as any small mistakes could cause damage to property resulting in unnecessary costs. Our experience tree surgeons are highly skilled at navigating tree sections through tight spaces and have carried out tree removal in some very cramped areas. Section felling must be carried out by a professional tree surgeon.
Tree Removal – Straight Tree Felling
Straight tree felling is the second technique that many will associate with tree removal. This technique involves the tree being cut at the base and being allowed to fall (in a controlled manner) to the floor in one continuous section. However, in some areas of Ashford this may not be possible (see section felling).
The straight fell of a larger tree is carried out in forest work or where properties allow for this technique to be used. Smaller tree’s are much easier to work with and we are able to remove tree’s in this manner in most urban gardens.
Keeping health and safety in mind and the risk of damage to your property to a minimum we use specialised slings and ropes to ensure that trees removed with a straight fell will fall safely to the ground.
